We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Science Auditor to join a dynamic team focusing on Audit and Risk Projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, analytics, and financial audit procedures, with experience working on data automation and testing of internal control for industry-leading companies.

Our client is a leading international commodities trading company based in Geneva.

Description

  • Collaborate with audit teams to examine internal control systems, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, operational activities, and regulatory requirements within the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Develop and implement data automation solutions to enhance audit efficiency, including the creation of advanced workflows using tools such as Alteryx and Python
  • Utilize data visualization techniques to communicate findings effectively, developing intricate dashboards using Power BI, and Generative AI.
  • Conduct mapping and testing of internal controls, leveraging data approaches such as natural language processing to identify control gaps and mitigate risks.
  • Document, version, and rigorously thoroughly test workflows to ensure accuracy and reliability of data analysis processes.
  • Utilize data analysis for risk assessments and monitoring of key indicators, contributing to the overall audit planning and execution phases.
  • Provide training and support to new team members on data tools and techniques, fostering culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
  • Contribute to research and development projects in the Oil and Gas industry, utilizing data science methodologies to drive innovation and insight.
  • Collaborate with management on project plans and support client meetings, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify process improvements

Profile

  • At least 5 years of experience in an Audit/Advisory/Operational Risk role, ideally within an integrated oil company.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Petroleum engineering or Computational Mechanics.
  • Proven experience in Data Analytics within the audit or Oil and Gas industry, compulsory.
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, R, and/or SQL, with experience in developing data workflows and visualizations.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, including data collection, storage, cleaning and integration.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and advanced techniques in data visualization libraries.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis techniques, with experience in applying them to solve business problems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and spirit of initiative.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in and resolving problems independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented trading environment.
  • Certifications that will boost your profile: CDMP - Professional Data Management Certification / Alteryx Advanced Certified / Project Management Certification / Data Science with Python, Data Acumen
